This is why Water Express produces purified drinking water by efficiently filtering off anything that is not water from our products.

Water from Water Express follows the following process:

1. SOURCE

Water from any source can be purified. For example, in some of our branches, we are subscribed to  and get water from NAWASA.

2. MULTIMEDIA FILTRATION

Impure water passes through a four-stage MULTIMEDIA FILRATION system.

• First, the water is filtered through SILICA SAND to remove rust, among others. This sand is an extremely effective filter media because of its ability to hold back precipitates containing impurities.
• Secondly, the water passes through ACTIVATED CARBON filters TWICE. Active charcoal carbon filters are are used to remove chlorine, sediment, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), taste and odor from water
• Then, water is softened through an ION-EXCHANGE RESIN filter. This filter is also used to remove poisonous (e.g. copper) and heavy metal (e.g. lead or cadmium) ions from solution, replacing them with more innocuous ions, such as sodium and potassium.

3. SEDIMENT FILTERS

The multimedia-filtered water is then passed through two (2) sediment filters to clear it from dust and other particles. Once water passes this step, it is called, Mineral Water.

4. REVERSE OSMOSIS

Not all minerals are safe for our bodies, least bacteria. This is why we encourage drinking of only PURE WATER. Through (RO) Reverse Osmosis, our water is removed of many types of molecules and ions from water, including bacteria. Water from WATER EXPRESS passes through RO twice.

5. STORAGE

After Reverse Osmosis, Only 40% of the water is Purified. This is stored in tanks, and are ready for packaging.

However, the other 60% is not put to waste as we utilize it for our LAUNDRY SERVICES and other washing and/or non-drinking applications.

6. As our water is transferred from tank to faucet, it passes through three more stages.

• CTO FILTER (Chlorine, Taste, Odor Filter)
• One more SEDIMENT FILTER
• Ultraviolet germicidal irradiation (UVGI) to sterilize the water.

7. Water from our faucets are directly packaged in gallons and bottles that are ready for fast distribution - EXPRESS DELIVERY.
